Collection: Hats - Caps

If you're looking to buy a hat for Carnival, you've come to the right place. Your choice of hat, of course, depends on the theme you've chosen. What costume do you have in your shopping cart, and do you want a hat, cap, or other headwear to go with it? If, for example, you're planning to buy a pilot's uniform, you'd complete that with a pilot's cap, and a cowboy without a hat isn't a cowboy. So, check carefully whether headwear is already included with your costume. If not, this category is for you.

Tyrolean hats

Tyrolean hats are very popular. There are two types to distinguish: the real Tyrolean hats, which are the more expensive types, usually made of wool felt, and the cheaper Tyrolean hats, which are mainly fun for an evening of enjoyment with a fabric lederhosen or an inexpensive Tyrolean outfit. The real Tyrolean hats are actually made of wool felt and are made in different sizes so that these hats always fit perfectly on your head.

The cheaper Tyrolean hats are the green and grey forest ranger hats and, of course, the grey Bavarian hats. Nowadays, there are also hats in all sorts of different, fun colours, especially suitable for the beer festivals in September and October.

Luxury Indian headdresses

In addition to the cheaper short and long Indian headdresses, we also have real, luxury Indian headdresses. We have the shorter and longer Apache Indian headdresses with very beautiful blue accents. These headdresses have a perfect finish and very beautiful feathers, fitting perfectly with a luxurious Indian costume.

A real carnival hat

What do we mean by real carnival hats? These are usually tricorns, richly decorated with feathers and other colourful embellishments. These luxurious hats are made in different colour shades and also in different sizes, which improves wearing comfort. In many Brabant and Limburg cities, carnival-goers also have their own colours, such as in Oeteldonk where people mainly wear red-yellow-white hats. In Limburg, for example, the colours are red-yellow-green. These carnival hats are often worn with a colourful jacket, not so much with a specific theme. We also have tricorns in black with gold or silver galloon, these are also real carnival hats but are also worn as admiral hats. These hats are also known as the three-cornered hat and originate from the 18th century. You also have the two-cornered hat, which is mainly known as the Napoleon hat. With the two-cornered hat, the brim is turned up on both sides. Footmen next to the coach still wear the two-cornered hat on Prince's Day, while the coachman wears a three-cornered hat. We mainly know the carnival hats worn by the princes during carnival.
