The cheaper models come with an attached blouse and a fixed or separate apron. The luxury Dirndls are supplied as a dress with an apron, and you can buy the Dirndl blouse separately, allowing you to create your own combination and choose your favorite Dirndl blouse model, as many variants are available.

Meaning of the Dirndl bow:

For those attending traditional Oktoberfest celebrations, it's important to know which side of the apron the bow is worn on, as it has a meaning—it indicates the woman's relationship status:

  • If the bow is worn on the left side, the woman is single.
  • If the bow is worn on the right side, the woman in question is taken, in a relationship, or married.
  • With a bow at the front, the Dirndl wearer is still a virgin.
  • A bow at the back of the dress is for the widow; a waitress may also wear it at the back.

So, as a woman, pay close attention to which side the bow is worn to avoid misunderstandings in relational matters.
