Dirndl dresses for women
We have Tyrolean Dirndl dresses for Oktoberfest in all shapes and sizes. Sexy, short dresses with lace and usually an apron at the front. Most Dirndl dresses are one-piece, but some come with a separate Dirndl blouse or a separate apron. The color of such a dress doesn't really matter; red, green, and white are traditional and popular colors, but our top seller, the Bavaria dress, for example, is blue, white, and yellow—a top model! The super cute Selina dress model is also an excellent choice, not least for its color scheme and a slightly lower waist than most Dirndl dresses. We even have a pink variant if you really want to be original at the beer festival. If you want a short dress, also consider a short petticoat for extra volume, and a pair of authentic Trachten socks should not be missing, of course; knee-high socks for women or stay-up stockings (Britney stockings) are an excellent choice.
A knee-length Dirndl dress
The authentic, traditional Tyrolean Dirndl dresses are often longer than the short models. These dresses are at least knee-length and are worn with a separate apron and a real Dirndl blouse. The cheaper models come with an attached blouse and a fixed or separate apron. The luxury Dirndls are supplied as a dress with an apron, and you can buy the Dirndl blouse separately, allowing you to create your own combination and choose your favorite Dirndl blouse model, as many variants are available.
Meaning of the Dirndl bow:
For those attending traditional Oktoberfest celebrations, it's important to know which side of the apron the bow is worn on, as it has a meaning—it indicates the woman's relationship status:
- If the bow is worn on the left side, the woman is single.
- If the bow is worn on the right side, the woman in question is taken, in a relationship, or married.
- With a bow at the front, the Dirndl wearer is still a virgin.
- A bow at the back of the dress is for the widow; a waitress may also wear it at the back.
So, as a woman, pay close attention to which side the bow is worn to avoid misunderstandings in relational matters.
Popular Dirndl dresses, Long and short:
- Bavaria dress blue: a short, inexpensive Dirndl dress with striking sleeves and an original color scheme of blue, white, and yellow—a top model.
- Sexy Tyrolean dress pink: Especially the color makes this pink Tyrolean dress very special and popular.
- Dirndl dress Jana Black with red: A knee-length Dirndl dress with a separate blouse and an excellent price-quality ratio.
- Dirndl dress Christa red-black: a luxurious Dirndl dress with a separate apron of excellent quality and a chic appearance.
